The History of Magrelli Family is linked to the development of tourism within Cascia. After the Second World War, with the realization of the new Sanctuary of Saint Rita, wanted by Abbess Teresa Fasce, it began to increase the cult and the devotion towards the Saint of the Impossible.

To such intention people warned the need to create some services for the pilgrims and, Fernanda and Alvaro Magrelli, that already managed a restaurant in Garibaldi Square, gathered the occasion to purchase a ground to realize the first historian creature, the Hotel Monte Meraviglia, that was inaugurated on Good Friday 1968.

Alvaro and Fernanda Magrelli with their dedication and energy were able to give accommodation to the growing number of visitors. Always looking into improving the quality of their services, The Magrelli extended the Hotel through the 70's and 80's, and by 1994 they were able to offer 140 bedrooms to visitors. _TOP

With the new generation, Damocle and Caterina Magrelli decided to diversify from solely "religious tourisms". Creating "La Reggia Sporting Center" was an answer to the new focus for well being; it also introduced a new public to the opportunities that existed within the Valnerina such as the nature, foods and beautiful monuments. _TOP
